GOODBYE SAMMY

Chloe and I went to say our last goodbye's to Sammy last friday. My parents were going to put him down on Saturday, but the homemade casket wasn't finished yet so they put it off. He passed away naturally on Wednesday. What a great dog he was. I remember him as always being a comfort to me when I was down. He lived 17 full years, and has been around almost half my life. He was a sweet, but spoiled dog. In his prime he actually caught a bird in his mouth while still in flight! He has been a good dog for our family and yes he was like a little brother and will sorely be missed. We all believe he is waiting for us in heaven running around with all our other lost pets. We love you Sam!

oh, sad. I didn't know that. Your mom never mentioned anything to Blake at work. I am sorry. I know how easy it is to love those furry little friends.

Wow, that is a VERY difficult thing to do. We had a poodle live 18 years when I was younger, and when the loved animal goes it is difficult emotionally. As you know putting Mokey down was a hard thing to do. But watching a sick dog is even harder. It is interesting how some people get attached to the dog and try to fill the void from the loss. And some people don't care. It is very weird. I was telling a lady at work about our dog and she started to cry. So I kept on telling to see how much she would cry...?

How are you? And yes I will motivate Scott.

I knew he was getting very old and wondered if he was still going strong. I know how much he meant to your family.

Wow, that is a really long life and I'm sure it was a good thing to go on his own. It is the most difficlut decision to make one day be their last. I grew up with lots of pets and they really are part of your family. I miss Meg here, I never realized how safe she made me feel. I'm sorry for your family. We can relate.

I am so sorry for your loss! Dogs are such a great part of the family. They are always happy to see you and don't hold a grudge! We are happy that Bosco eats the food that Presley drops on the floor. I hope you are all doing alright! I am happy to see you have a blog. I guess I have been a little out of it! :)
